avce00 software package provides Tools for conversion of ESRI Arcinfo (binary) Vector Coverage in E00 format., you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install avce00
avce00 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the avce00 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep avce00 *
You will get with avce00 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
